EasyCAL subscribers have their equipment record, report history and next due date stored in the portal — we'll remind you before recalibration is due.

Common questions

Why should balances be calibrated in place?

A balance's performance depends on its environment — the bench, airflow and level all affect results. We calibrate on-site so the calibration reflects the exact conditions your balance operates in, and it never has to be moved or couriered.

How often should a laboratory balance be calibrated?

Most quality systems call for calibration every 12 months, with regular in-house checks between calibrations. Higher-stakes applications may justify shorter intervals — we can advise based on how the balance is used.

What does the calibration cover?

We assess repeatability, linearity across the weighing range, and corner-load (eccentricity) performance using reference masses traceable to Australian national standards, and report the measurement uncertainty.

What do we receive after the calibration?

A NATA-endorsed calibration report issued promptly after the work is completed, plus — for EasyCAL subscribers — a record in the portal alongside your equipment's full calibration history.
